Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd started her combat sports journey at age 14. After training in kickboxing boxing wrestling BJJ and BJJ, she made her amateur debut against Jaimee Nievera at WCFC when she was just 18. Ladd became more confident after this win and won 3 bouts in Ultimate Reno Combat. Her opponents all fell in the 1st round. Aspen went back to WCFC and defeated Leslie Rodriguez through a unanimous ruling. Aspen was able to defeat Silvia Babaeghian, and Maddy Simmons before fighting Cynthia Calvillo at WCFC 9. Cynthia defeated Aspen and defeated her in a unanimous decision, putting an ominous mark on her records as an amateur. Ladd bounced back from her defeat to defeat Roma Pawelek, taking her record to eight-one. Aspen began her professional career in the year 2015. Aspen signed with Invicta FC and made her debut. Invicta eleven saw Aspen dominate Ana Carolina Vidal to score a TKO in the first round. Invicta defeated her at bantamweight and prevailed via armbar submission in the second round. Aspen employed her skills in wrestling to knock down McGill via TKO in the third round (elbows & punches). Aspen next faced Jessica Hoy (138.1lb at Invicta FC) in the weight of a "catchweight"(138.1lb) due to the fact that Ladd failed to make weight. Aspen, however, defeated Hoy by using TKO. Her final fight with Promotion, she fought Sijara Eubanks in a unanimous decision at Invicta FC 21. Aspen Ladd was the first UFC fighter to make her debut. She faced Linalansberg during UFC Fight Night 118. She outclassed Lina through ground-and-pound and won the TKO round in the second. Her dominance grew and she won a much more convincing victory during her next fight against Tonya Evinger, at UFC 229 Ladd took over Evinger's fight following the first round. The winner also got the reward for her performance on the evening. Invicta FC's Sijara Ebanks was her opponent for an rematch of UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against Lee. This was Ladd's debut major fight. Ladd took home the night's main event fight bonus fight after the two fighters engaged in hard in a tense back and forth battle. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie ended Ladd in 16-seconds to break her winning streak. The third time she fought on UFC on ESPN 7, she defeated Yana Kunitskaya. In a recent match replacement in the UFC, Norma Dumont was her opponent. Her defeat was decided by unanimous decision.
