Stevie WonderStevland Haraway Morris (ne Judkins) was born on May 13, 1950. He is known as Stevie Wonder and is considered as a pioneering musician, and has had an influencer on musicians of diverse genres, from rhythm and blues to jazz to gospel, soul to jazz. A virtual one-man group, Wonder's use of synthesizers and other electronic instruments in the 1970s revolutionized the structure of R&B. He played a key role in bringing such genres into the age of albums through LPs that were both cohesive and consistently. Wonder, who was blind at the time of his birth was signed at Motown's Tamla label aged 11. In the Tamla label, he was awarded the professional title Little Stevie Wonder. Wonder's critical acclaim was at its highest in the 1970s. The singer's "classic period" began in 1972, with the release of Music of My Mind and Talking Book, the latter featuring "Superstition" that is among the most unique and famous instances of the sounds of the Hohner Clavinet keyboard. He won the Grammy Award as Album of the year for Innervisions (1973), FulfillingnessThe First Finale (1974) and Songs in the Key of Life ( 1976). This makes him the tie-record holder of the most Album of the year awards with three. He is the sole artist who has won the Grammy Award for Album of the Year on three albums in succession. Wonder's "commercial period" began in the early 1980s. The singer had his most memorable hits and highest fame, increased album sales, charitable involvement, and high-profile collaborations.
